Question to you all. I have one account listed on my Equifax file that is not mine. I have tried to dispute the info w/CRA but they say the info has been verified accurate. Well, the CRA does not even report my correct date of birth, how can they verify any info as being valid?

    What are my options?

You probably need to send a letter to the reporter of the info explaining the situation.

You probably need to send a letter to the reporter of the info explaining the situation. As for your dob, you need to dispute it. Call the cra and tell them they are reporting the wrong dob and you'd like it corrected.

When I tried to get Equifax to correct my address and DOB they told me I had to send several documents that establish my ID and address, such as DL, a bank statement, SS Card, etc.

The address is plainly a typo by the last creditor to pull a report, as it's simply missing a letter. The DOB I am not too concerned with.

If they insist on having the wrong address listed, I'm not going to lose sleep. Maybe it will cause my disputes to work better )

TURN IT AROUND ON THEM...tell them it is their responsibility to report 100% correct information...HAVE THE CRA PROVE THAT YOU NOW LIVE AT THE WRONG ADDRESS...YOU LEARNED TO SPELL YOUR NAME WRONG...YOU WERE BORN 40 YEARS EARLIER THAN YOU THINK...YOU BK'D 20 YEARS BEFORE YOU WERE BORN!!!

    :)
