Does anyone have a dispute fax number for Equifax handy? Want to start faxing for 30 day verification purposes.
just wondering and concerned. why are you faxing to them? Is it their policy to accept faxes for disputes? Every bureau has told me that is NOT their policy. Do you know differently? Just wondering.
Christine over at bayhouse used to fax all the time. I guess I am basing it on her posts. I am getting disgusted with Equifax and their run around about changing my address. TU and Exp were notified by lenders by now and have updated their records. I am sure Equifax has been notified too but nada. The issue is really 2 paid charge-offs that are 6 years old. I have a NY address now and those should just vanish as soon as the change is made. I sent them a letter with ORIGINAL bills attached showing the new address 3 weeks ago (overnight mail) and it has not been updated. I am having my credit pulled a lot recently (job related stuff) and those negs should be gone. Now my husband and I found a house we both been drooling over for 3 years for sale. We are going to look at it this week. My score is 648 on Eq with the negs. I think I have a much better chance with a mortgage if they were gone. Just losing my patience. Want to fax to keep the pressure up so this gets done.

Welcome to Creditnet Tmonty! It looks like that info. is from a really old post, but I'm guessing Breeze was talking about the states of California and Pennsylvania. Working fax numbers unfortunately tend to change often at all three major credit bureaus. Have you tried any of these?: Equifax Fax Number: 888-826-0573 Experian Fax Number: 972-390-3838 TransUnion Fax Number: 610-546-4771
