I sent a dispute to Equifax because my JC Penny card shows that my account was opened on 5/12/2009. I have requested validation in the past from the OC. The VP responded with a letter that states that the original account was opened on 5/27/2009. If Equifax in fact verfied this info with OC and updated the dates...why are they still conflicting? How do I get Equifax to remove this TL? If I fax them the letter I have from OC, they will have what they need to make the TL correct....I do not want to do their job for them.
Don't do their job for them, keep disputing, escalating the complaints with legalese, and then file a case against them and the DF in federal court for $1,000 for each bungled dispute.
