The other day, I tried to correct personal info with Experian over the phone, since you can't do it online. They said I have to write to them to request corrections. Is this true?

Not true.
I've done it over the phone. Many others have as well. Sounds like you just got a jerk of a rep. Call back today (or whenever) chances are you'll get someone who will let you dispute it over the phone, and you'll have them deleted within hours.

Notice to Collection Agencies: CN is about to kick you back into the dot-matrix age.

I deal with an affiliate and they updated on the spot. They even changed the wrong d.o.b. without any I.D. I think she was new. They removed some wrong names and they removed my sister as my spouse.
Call back and see what that person has to say.
Does anyone have a fax number to an affiliate office for Experian, Anything except that awful place in Allen, TX!!!
