I looked at my transunion fico score from a trimerge a lender had pulled and the score was a 707. When I pull the fako score online, its says my score is a 639. Can there be that much of a difference? Do you think the lender got the score wrong? Thx in advance.
I have found no pattern or logic to the Fako. At least Experian's score is reasonably stable. TU's is completely illogical to me. Useless. With any of them, believe the FICO only. 707 is great, especially when expecting a 639. Call it a late gift.
Thanks Nineflies. This thread sorta relates to the mortgage thread on pulling credit reports. Im going through Countrywide to get my loan and the rep told me all they need to pull is 1 report. She even told me to find out which report had the highest fico. I hope my transunion fico wasnt a mistake. My equifax trimerge fico score was exactly the same, 675, as on the equifax online report. I think ill let her pull my transunion one

I was preapproved at the best going rate a few weeks ago. However, I cannot lock in the rate because the house is not built yet. Possibly, once the foundation is built, then the rate can be locked in for 45 days or so. At the time, I was quoted 6% for a 350k mortgage with my wife. I hope you accomplish your goal of new house ownership. Its been a long road for me but it is starting to pay off. In fact, I just waited outside the housing office for 24hrs straight to be 1st in line to buy my house. There is tremendous demand here and the developer only releases a few houses at a time. The person behind me wanted to buy my house as there was only 1 model of my particular house that was released. He even offered me 4k to be first in line. I didnt take him up on the offer.
