Thread: False Reporting on my Credit report

Hello every one I was hoping you all might be able to give me some ideas about what to do with a problem i am facing.

I have a Collection agency reporting on my credit report that I owe the last apartment complex I was at 104.00. I was totally unaware of this and have not once received a phone call or letter stating I owed them money They had my work address my new house address and my work phone number and they never contacted me once. Now I have this collection notice on my report what should i do to get it removed.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Do a search on validating debt.....there is a ton of info on this board.
Another term to look for Validation letter.
They have to be able to prove you owe.
