faxing validations

    ...If you are faxing your validations, make sure your fax machine prints a transmittal report of each and every successful fax that shows the date, time, fax number and number of pages faxed. This is YOUR proof that the collection agency or debt collector (DC) received your validation request. "

    Somebody else wrote the above info on another post. Is this true?

    All it proves is that you sent it...IT DOES NOT PROVE THEY RECEIVED IT OR THAT THEY DID ANYTHING WITH IT--LIKE READ IT

    Yes, but in the event that you have to send this to the cra's, it should be proof enough that you indeed did send it to the ca's requesting proof. It's really up to the ca to send you the proof.
