I CHECKED MY FICO SCORE AND GOT A 607. IS THAT A GOOD START? IT SAID I HAVE A RELATIVELY LONG CREDIT HISTORY. IS IT GOD ENOUGH FOR SOME PRIME CARDS OR NO.

If you got your score from MyFico.com, they have a bar graph showing where your score falls in the eyes of lenders. They also tell you WHY your score is what it is. 607 is not abysmal, but it's not great. Also, that's just one score. You should have three (from the three main CRAs).

You won't find anything prime with a 607. Once you get up to 680 or so, you'll be more in prime territory - albeit barely into prime territory.

You'll find many threads here on CN regarding this subject. Do a search.

It's still subprime. Average FICO score is in the high 600s (670-680).
