Anyone who is in chexsystems use them? When I called the other day they said "We don't report to telecheck sir." What does that mean?

I mean I heard they don't check chexsystems, and don't check telecheck??? How can that be?

Anyone? I have an acquaintance (thankfully it's not me this time) who has records with both Telecheck and Chexsystems. She is trting to pay them off but her boss is pressuring her to get set up with direct deposit. And you guessed it, she can't open a bank account because of the aforementioned reasons.

I'm trying to find a bank for her locally (Houston, TX) because I've had nothing but bad luck with the so called "internet banks."

Does anyone have any hints they'd care to share. Or a forgiving "second chance" bank?

I've taken her around to multiple banks and got shot down every time (B of A, Wells Fargo, and Bank One).

Have you tried IBC? I opened a back up account with them. I am not certain if they checked Chexsystems.

All banks do not use Chexsystems. But most do use Chexsystems, Telecheck or some similar agency. Shop around until you find one that does not use Chexsystems.

I currently have an account with First Convenience Bank but I am in the DFW area. They do not check chexsystems because I have an Item on there and have been turned down elsewhere. I don't know if they have any locations in the Houston area but your account is free (no balance limit and no monthly charge) if you have direct deposit. Worth a try if your friend can find one in her area.

    Thanks,

    Andra
