    Florida Statue of Limitations

    Had an old debt (last activity was feb99) come up at the begining of 04 right in the middle of the approval proces for my new home so I immediately paid the debt to keep the loan process rolling. Upon further reading it appears that they collected the debt after the SOL was up on it. Do I have any recourse to get the "paid Collection" off my reports? Any info would be aprreciated?

    The SOL you are referring to is the one where you cannot be sued rather than the SOL for reporting. You can try disputing it first, a lot of times when the CAs have their money they don't bother responding to the CRAs. If that doesn't work, you should be able to use one of the nutcase variations floating around on here to get it off. This is a great thread to read up on it:
