I take it you received this as an unsolicited junk mail offer or perhaps via a telemarketing call?

    Anyways, here's the particulars

    Url is http://www.freedomcardusa.com/

It advertises itself as "The card with a purpose"

    FreedomCard Sub-Prime Unsecured Card

    No security deposit required
Credit limit available (based on the individual's credit history): $350 (you KNOW its gonna be $350) to $2,500
$50 annual fee charged to approved cards
    $100 Account Origination Fee
21.24% annual interest rate (which may vary) = you can count one one short hand the amount that will receive this rate we're just covering our ass we we charge you 24% and up.

Something about their site gives me a bad feeling, it reminds me of the United Bank (now Ace) Credit Card scam, though that was secured and this is unsecured.

    *********************************************

But WAIT, I just looked brought up their application and look what I found. The address to send the application to is............THE LAKE OF FIRE...

    CROOKS Country Bank !!!!!!!

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE before you are doomed!!!!!!!!! For once you enter down the dark path of CCB forever will they rule your destiny...aaaaaaaaaaaggggggghhhhhhhhhh

Nice joke FISH what are you trying to do 'give somebody a heart attack' imagine the toll this would have taken on poor bg if she had chanced upon this site. Oh "the horror the horror"

    Steven - I did too.
It is the Bank Of Fire under another name.

ALSO - notice no VISA logo now?
Whatz been happening with CCB since their indictments?
Are they being polite until this all blows over like Providian? Frankly, ever since Providian has been watched by the FEDS, they give good service, post on time, and give
    nicew credit limits.

I wouldn't get near this NO GRACE PERIOD DOG CARD!!!!!

    RE: Cross Country Bank Freedom

I'll believe it when I see it! Cross Country, even in Providian's worst days, made Providian look sweet and angelic.

A class-action civil lawsuit is not the appropriate measure for Cross Country. It is a criminal operation, and those who operate it deserve to do HARD time. Subpoenas and depositions just won't cut it in this case. Cross Country Bank needs to be raided by the law, and its officers dragged out in handcuffs and chains.

Most of us know the criminals at Cross Country for what they are, but I'll bet we'd all be left agape if we really knew what's going on in that place. A raid and a criminal investigation is the only way to find out.

Steven, shame on you, I'm still here watching
over you. As for this new card, well let's
just say CCB is trying everything they can to get new customers. I think these law suits
have them scared alittle. The RICO ACT can
do that to companies. But I'll be nice to you
tonight and not go overboard about CCB.
It's good to see you remember in the same breath as CCB. LOL!!

Yes I remember seeing a webpage awhile back on the Freedom card. If I remember right this card is for Poor Intercity ethnic clientel trying to establish credit.
Also this card is issued by Merrick bank
    NOT cross country bank.

Thank you for you response your probably right but there was a Freedom Card that was on a website that claimed from merrick bank but maybe that card is no longer available.
Anyway I would never apply with Cross country bank or Merrick Bank. Thank you for your warning.

    RE: Cross Country Bank Freedom

Freedom and Cross Country Bank? Wow! What a contradiction in terms.
Could it be that the Hellfire Bank's reputation has become so well known that they found it necessary to operate under a different name? The scent of brimstone permeates every post made concerning CCB everywhere on the internet. That stench has got to hurt them somewhat. Maybe THEY are getting burned for a change.
I've heard even Satan doesn't offer their card on his website any longer.

Doris, the vision of Rocco in chains is my favorite fantasy (a distraught Liz Hurley showing up at my house is a close second).
Janet Reno knows how to rough-house and she would redeem herself if she would just order this one more raid before she leaves office.
Please, Ms. Reno, if you read this, please send men in battle gear to Boca Raton, sweep Rocco into your arms, and rush him to a waiting van.

that part is exactly right, although, they will give it to anyone. But remember, it is CCB.

That Rocco fellow just needs to be strung up by his balls with barbed wire.

Hell, I'd vote for that Reno broad for President if she'd do that!
