I don't know about Exxon Mobil, but Chevron gave me $300 to start. So did Shell and Texaco.

CITGO and BP gave me $500 to start.

My first-ever gas card was $200, a Texaco card.

I think Monogram Bank is pretty tight with initial credit limits. I would guess your limit is $300.

My initial CL was $200 with a FICO of about 600.

Chevron didn't approve me for their Credit Card but they gave me their rebuilder card with 250 limit for 50/year.

Scores in mid 500s with one Judgement.

Keep in mind that if you have BK on your report, most likely you will not even get their rebuilder card.

    Good luck.

I just received my Chevron card today with a $300 CL. I spoke directly with their credit analyst department and their requirements were a minimum of 600 FICO and BK must be past the 5 year mark. They pull Equifax, which is my worst one at 632 FICO.

Are ALL gas cards "TOY" cards???

Just wondering because it would look bad to have a $300 card then the NEXT HIGHEST BANK card is $7,500

Not that I even would use $300 worth of gas in a month...

My WAL*MART store card is even MORE than $3,000...

Yeah George, I agree they are "toy" cards.

    I have:
    Chevron $300 CL
    CITGO $800 CL
    SuperAmerica $700 CL
    Sunoco $1,200 CL
