I paid off $5000 in debt a couple of months ago. Pulled my reports today, all payments are reported to CRAs. To my disbelief, I have the same scores as a couple of months ago. SCORES ARE BS. George, you are right, random number generators.
What kind of debt? I paid off over $10,000 in installment debt (car) and got no points. When I pay credit card debt, I get about a point for every $700 paid. Others here have also reported getting no points for paying off installment debt.
