The one thing I liked about having a Bank of America check card (I banked there for 10 years) was the fact that they have Direct Deduction. When you use your visa check card as a VISA, funds are taken out of your account immediately. With most other banks, funds take a couple of days.

The reason why the Citi AA card was so popular was because a lot of people got approved for the card with questionable credit reports. I'm sure someone else will elaborate. Just do a search on this board under Citibank AAdvantage Card.

Gold check card is purty :) Ask for one :)

You can ask for more daily cash withdrawal too :) $400 is awful low.

Citibank AA Advantage World Master Silver Classic - citi enters the sub-prime market and gives people with bad credit, a decent card with a great limit.

    THAT DOESNOT SOUND RIGHT....SA

Sam you have to be kidding me. You applied for all those cards. Really! They only take 2 applications at a time my friend. The other applications were voided and you were sent a letter if what you are saying is true. ANYWAY....So which card did you get approved for?

Well they deny anyone who applies more than twice in less than 60 days. We kinds of made that clear about 3months ago on the board.

It's not surprising that people are confused about the Aadvantage card. As far as I can tell, it seems there are four different varieties:

    Aadvantage Silver
    Aadvantage Gold
    Aadvantage World Gold
    Aadvantage World Platinum

oh, and the business version of one or more of these.

The World card comes with no pre-set spending limit. It has a credit limit but you can over it as long as you pay the excess above the limit on the next statement. I don't think the world card is the one people have been talking about on this board. Hope this helps.

    You are right Dave

They have many advantage cards. That is why I didnot like Sam mentioning all the cards to a newbie. The card we all got was the Advantage card or gold advantage. Not World advantage. But you must click the AA World icon on the site to access the full list of cards which are easy to get. I am tired of telling people about this card. From now on I am just gonna say read the threads. Hate to be mean.

I bank with bof a amoung others. I originally had a regular visa checkcard but when I switched accounts they "Upgraded" my Visa Checkcard to a Gold Visa check card. The main differences that are usuable to me are 1) A purchase assurance type of program for major purchases(thought haven't personally used it lately) and 2) Higher cash with drawal and purchase limits. There may be some car rental perks normally associated with gold cards but I don't recall exactly since I don't normally use that specific benefit.
