Thread: Got approved for Best Buy

Applied for Best Buy card for a Camcorder. Was crossing my fingers because I thought it would be denied and I only requested 1000 credit line.

About 2 minutes later she says "I have good news, you were approved for 3100.

I about fell out. No interest untill January 2003. I also agreed to apply for the mastercard.

How long does it take to get a decision for the mastercard?

I am not crazy about household. I should not have any problems as long as I pay early on my bill, right.

From about march my scores were not that good.

tu 530
Experian 600

I dont know who they pulled right now. On my report I do not have any negative items. I have two accounts close to the limit and the rest either paid off/closed or low balance. But I did alot of BT's to my Citi card which helped me on some of those 0 balances. I got 0% for 9 months, so of course I'm going to do the BT thing and get rid of those 24% Providian cards.

if you got the best buy i guarantee you got the household gold (or platinum).

just watch out if they try to ram you with an annual fee.

The household comes with 3.9% for 6 months and $25 best buy GC .. 14% go to kinda sucked.

i'll have to work on them after i re-arrange all my BT's

I guess we will see about the mastercard.

I only chanced it because I did not want to put it on my new BofA card.

I am expecting our 3rd baby any day and did not want to depend on someone else to record or take pictures. This camcorder does both.

To say the least I was very excited. It is nice to finally see some progress when you have worked so hard on your credit.
