Thread: Got a nextcard platinum visa

I just applied for a nextcard visa and got it.

I was hoping to get a 9.9 rate, but that didn't happen. I was approved for a Nextcard Horizon Visa which I thought was odd. I had three upgrade packages. I picked the platinum one which had an intro rate of 6.9%, then prime plus 6.9% after (so 16.49% or around there) with a $5000 credit limit. I got the rewards program and picture card free.

I thought it was odd that they gave me a "Horizon" visa. I checked the terms and the rate is much worse for that card than what I got. The rate for a "standard" visa is worse than what I got.

However, I am happy since I can finally cancel my last Citibank card (no more telemarketing from them!!!!), and the rate I got was much better than anything I have right now.

congrats? Btw have you asked citi for a drop in rates lately? mines at prime + 2.9%
