First attempt at GWL's to anybody...I have worked with Lexington Law in the past and I think they have gotten just about everything removed that can be done through DL's etc. Only two things remaining on my credit reports are Credit One Bank and Plains Commerce. Sent emails straight to the CEO's. If I dont get a response, i'll do certified mail next.

Good news...CEO of Plains Commerce sent me this. I am officially a believer in GWL's now...never tried it before and it worked the first time.

"Just wanted to give you an update: Your account was reviewed yesterday and the decision to delete the trade line has been made. I received a draft copy of the form that is used to instruct the credit bureaus to delete the line. Now that the Bank has submitted the request to delete the line to all three credit bureaus, the Bank cannot control the timeline for your credit report to be updated. I am sorry to say that for three bureaus to update may take 30 to 60 days. I have chosen not to attach the draft copy of the form due to it containing your confidential information, if you would like I could fax or mail it. Please let me know if there is anything else we can do for you."

Yay! Thats great. I recently emailed the CEO of a credit union in NH to try to get something off my report... and she responded 4 minutes later (on a Saturday) and said she would take care of it (and she did!)

    Gotta love CEOs!

I must have gotten lucky! Just sent another GW letter to CapitalOne.. Hoping I have success with that. Sometimes you just gotta catch the right person in a good mood (Friday afternoon is a way happier time than Monday morning)

I still haven't heard from Credit One Bank yet. If I dont hear back this week, i'll do certified mail and another email.

    Final update...

Received a phone call from the executive office of Credit One Bank and they granted me my goodwill requests. They forwarded the info to the credit agencies and I should see it gone in the next 60days or so. They are also sending me a hard copy for my records. First time using goodwill letters and they both worked!

Thanks for the help and thanks for posting the goodwill letters!

    Mr. T-

I'm wondering if you would message me the email or snail mail address you sued for credit one. I found the CEO's email and send a GW letter there but want to make sure it's getting to the right spot.

    Thanks and congrats!
