Has anyone worked with ClearCredit?

Before I came to this site, I signed up with them. I was very excited about their offer. It wouldn't cost me too much. Now, I found this site, and I'd rather do most of it myself. There are a few things I'd like them to handle for me though. They already tried to bill my cc, but it didn't go through. I was short $ :(
They suspended my account until I gave them new billing info. I gave them my debit card #. Then I found this site. Found out through Flygirl that they sold my name to AmIQualified or something like that. I just went there to change my billing info again, I gave them my paypal business account cc number, as there is no money in there. I think it might go through to my bank account though as they are linked. What should I do? What CAN I do? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I already tried entering bogus info, that didn't work. I don't want to cancel my account, but I do want to change them items they are disputing and lower my cost. They don't seem to answer emails. I am not able to call during their business hours.

    Thanks again to all,
    Melisa

I know George, I'm an idiot. My TIME is worth something to me though, so I don't mind paying for SOME of them. It's like hiring a maid. I'm more than capable of doing it myself, but I'd rather pay and play :) No, I don't have a maid, but if I could afford it I would!!!!!!!!

That's horrible George! Maybe I'll sit and eat strawberries on the couch while they clean. :) I'd rather do just about anything else. I've even thought about getting an additional job so I could afford a maid. I think I need mental help.

Go to ripoffreport.com and read all the horroe stories on Junum. I am sure I posted problems people had with Junum in the past. Junum = Clear Credit.

If you have 20 baddies, then charge you $5 per disputed item = $100.

If they take 2 of those off, thats $15 each removed item. = $30

They then dispute the 18 items left again = $90.

    Get the picture?

Some were having problems with "GOOD" accounts being disputed...

Nothing to do with Junum, but I dipsuted my FUSA account which had 1 single 60 day late notation. I disputed as never late on my TU. At the end of the investigation, instead of an update, the entire TL was deleted. Every other CR has it updated as never late. Pissed me off because that was my oldest TL -- 7 years old. TU apparently has no update button on the keyboard. Either that or the delete button is the only one that works.

There are more DELETE keys than UPDATE keys on the keyboard.

They will dispute your negatives, your postivies, your soft and hard inquiries, your name, ect. Anything to get more cash out of you. You will have no choice in what they dispute also. If you want to know about them just read this little article straight from the bbb website:

We rate this company as having an unsatisfactory business performance record based on a pattern of complaints that cause us concern.

Complainants allege services are not provided for credit repair or credit improvement after paying fees. Most complainants report difficulty contacting the company regarding services. Emails are allegedly unanswered, and there are no telephone numbers listed for the company with directory assistance. Other customers complain they are unable to log on, or otherwise access their information on the company's website.

The company responds to some complaints by issuing refunds. Two complaints are unresolved, meaning the customers are not satisfied with the company's response. In one case, the company agreed to provide a refund, however, the customer wanted services instead. Most complaints are unanswered.

On December 16, 2002, we verified this company has not complied with State registration requirements for their industry, or posted the required $100,000 bond as required under the California Credit Services Act. Companies advertising that they can improve credit are required to register. Even if the company is registered, it is unlawful to collect payment prior to providing credit improvement services. You may verify registration by calling, (619) 645-2001.

This company is reportedly falsely representing they are BBB members on their web site. The company is NOT a member of the Bureau.

If you believe your credit report contains erroneous information, you may dispute, the negative item may be removed temporarily from your report. However, it will be reinstated if it is determined to be valid.

The Better Business Bureau does not endorse, recommend or disapprove of any company, product or service.

Don't forget that they also will strike you with a hard inquiry on your credit reports:

We use several different report providers, to get our reports and it does create a hard inquiry on your report.

So they are lowering your score instead of providing you help in restoring.

I was tempted by the free credit report and as I did know nothing bad was in there thought I was safe, but they, they tried still to charge me.

I tried to cancel and was given the run arround and told no we cant cancel you right now.

Complaint to the BBB and suddenly movement on the font the account closed and a voicemail appologizing about the hard inquiry "it is in the t/c" which it was not when I signed up.

The inquiry in my case was done via iqualifynow / credit 1 and I am currently in beef with them.

    So stay away.

I fell for them a while back. Cancelled pretty quickly when I got the letter from the CRA saying they don't accept disputes from outside agencies.

I was payng for absolutely nothing.

Report your paypal card lost or stolen, you will be issued a new card # instantly (check your PP account for activate debit card link), they won't be able to charge you anything more as the card # will be bad. Then threaten them with litigation if they don't return any $ they charged you after you notified them you want to cancel. I did, they sent an apology letter and refunded every last penny they charged me. Remember for every negative entry they attempt to dispute there are three potential CRAs reporting that info. If you have 10 derogs, that is a potential 30 attempts at collecting the 7.95 fee.

When I originally signed with them I told them not to attempt any deletions until they spoke with me first. They ignored me and went delete happy!
