They have an address on file for you that points to a business rather than a residence. Just call the CRA and tell them that the address is unknown to you. They will probably delete it while you're on the phone. If they don't, call back and see if your second contact with a CS person is more successful. As usual, with CSRs it's the luck of the draw.

Can this Hawk thing hurt me in anyway? I'm just asking because it will let me know just how adamant I will be on the phone with trans-union.

YOUR CREDIT REPORT MUST BE 100% ACCURATE!!!

If you NEVER lived there...it is NOT 100% ACCURATE!!!

A hawk alert (or fraud alert) was generated because the address information provided doesn't match up with what was expected by specialized fraud-detection analysis. Often this results from a digit being incorrect somewhere in one of your listed addresses that tells the software that it's not a residence.

They may require that you send a proof of address. My approach has always been to send them what they need, like a copy of a utility bill, to prove that you are who you say you are. This may be contrary to what others on CN may suggest, but why come out with both guns blazing when a 37 cent stamp could accomplish your goal.

Because it was a "PREVIOUS" address...you DON'T have to prove anything...they can just remove it...OR you can just tell them the 100% CORRECT PREVIOUS ADDRESS...

Focus on the one(?) that generated the hawk alert - that's the priority. Once you've gotten the alert removed, then see how many others the CSR will take care of. You may have to do some one day and some another, depending on the willingness of the CSR to help. I have never had a problem removing bad addresses. This seems to be a "gimme" on the part of the CRAs.

    DISPUTE THEM ALL...

As far as I know...they only "NEED" current address...the previous addresss...and the one before that (MAYBE)...
