Help with getting hard working 18 y

    1 credit card, does not want store but visa mastercard.

    I would start off with a secured card. That will allow you to establish a decent track record. After a year check your credit scores.

    Are you in college by chance? That's how I started. Credit card companies are almost willing to give any 18 or 19 year old college student a CC. Good ones to try: Citibank, Amex, Discover (pretty leinent), and MBNA or Chase.

    Their credit line is usually low and the interest rate relatively high, but at this point you just want to be able to establish (and maintain) credit.
