We'll see what happens. The rep didn't say "no" right away. She asked me to hold a couple of minutes.

Hummm.. she came back with a "no". I've asked for a supervisor and I am on hold.

what are you trying to get? you should be able to go 1 tier lower on % easily...

    18.9 to 15.9
    15.9 to 12.9
    12.9 to 9.9

I'd really like the APR lowered another notch. It started at 18.9 and they lowered to 15.9 a couple of months later. I'd like to get the 12.9 or 9.9 rate.

    Still holding for a supervisor...

    gotcha. I've heard:

You can only decrease 1 tier per card renewal (which is what... 2 years til the card expires)..

then I was told 1 tier per year...

but I got a rep to ok 1 more but then he saw in the notes I'd gotten one (2... but the first was on activation so it doesn't seem to count) and he said he'd get into trouble for decreasing it again...

so close... I tried to bribe... flirt... beg.... didn't work but he was nice. Maybe I should have hired him and as his parting gift he could have decreased my apr before firing ;)

they don't seem to have a retention department as far as I know... and they're a bit tight right now.. you just waiting for a regular supervisor?

Well -- still a no go. I stopped short of threatening to close the account.

SCENARIO, I am willing to pay 9.90% on say $5,000...they
have me at 12.90% or 15.90% or 18.90%...I PAY IN FULL!!!

9.99% IS THE UPPER LIMIT (I and many others here have decided on)!!!

    THEY LOST.

I called too and tried... no go. they said they understand why I don't revolve at 12.9... but that they would have to wait until the 1 year anniversary date to reduce it again...

I also was told 6 billing cycles until you can get a line increase unless you have an emergency or something and then they'll do a manual review...

I somehow doubt that before 6 mos you'd get anything though...
