unpaid bill. The collection agency sent me a bill for the $42 last week. It says to mail the check to a P.O. Box here in California. Don't these companies have to use a regular address?

RE: How likely is a collection And, I have two collections (both paid) for somewhere around $23 each. At the time that I paid them, I attempted to get them removed from my credit reports, but no dice. My advice is to pay them sooner, rather than have them come back to haunt you later. RE: How likely is - PO Boxes Agencies can have your payments sent to anywhere. My company has them sent to a PO Box for security purposes.
RE: How likely is a collection I actually had an agency tell me NOT to pay a collection (medical bill) for $47. They told me they don't report accounts less than $50. But, after reading the other responses, I wouldn't take the gamble for such a small amount. Be responsible and pay it. I did.
