    Hey everyone!

I had an account that went to collections from Verizon Wireless because there was a cancellation fee that I was unaware of. A year later, I get a call from a collection agency and paid it off immediately. Now it is holding back my credit score. Anyone have any idea of something that I can do to try and remove it? Maybe a good will letter?

    You can try good will.

It's paid status means that you lost your biggest piece of leverage.

But the best thing would be to look at the tradeline with a fine tooth comb and see if there are any errors that you can dispute, first with the CA, then immediately with the CRA.

Sadly I found that out after I had paid it. Do you have suggestions as to how I should phrase the letter?
