Thanks for all the help! I asked for help with BOA for my son and he was able to get their 4% Balance transfer good for life of the transfer thanks to the number for retention posted here. He will be able to qualify for the mortgage he needs now. Then, I used the Discover retention number posted here and was able to get for myself a balance transfer, no fee, good for life of the transfer at 5.9 APR, PLUS they increased my CL by $1500, AND dropped my purchase APR to 9.9 from 14.24. When I started reading this site back in 2000, I had NO credit and have built it up very respectably. Thanks to all current and previous Creditnetters, and to the administration of this board.
