There IS a GOD. Guys you don't understand. I've been in the gutter for who knows how long. I'm still fighting but this is a mile stone coming from the 400's and low 500's.

Love you board members :). You know any cellphone company that will take me with this 600 score on experian without a deposit ?

    What a milestone!! Congratulations!! :)

I'm not sure about the cellphone issue. Companies are really becoming rigid with their approval standards (economy and all). I believe Sprint PCS charges the lowest deposit IF you would even need one ($125). They also may not charge a deposit, but place you on a monthly spending limit for 6 months? Anyway, who cares (unless you spend more than $125 per month on cellular service)?

However, you may want to shop around or maybe someone else has more info regarding deposits with other companies.

    Again, congrats!!

Yeah, what Marci said about what Miles said!!

Kudos!! I know how I felt when I "finally" hit 600's. Then when you hit 700's you get that euphoric feeling again. Keep it up.

Dh just got approved for Cingular, with a 584 Equifax score, not sure what his Experian score is, I'm in snail mail hell waiting to get into see it.

Last year, we had SprintSucks PCS, no deposit, but a $200 spending limit due to his credit.

    HTH.

    :)

Ohhhh! Let me warn you about Cingular Wa. We dumped Cingular last month, we have been with them for over 2 years now Our bill ran about 250.00 a month b/c hubby had the 3000 anytime plan (his cell phone is his buisness phone) and I had the 250 anytime plan. Well, we never had anu problems until last month when we dropped them. Every month our bill is the same 249. and some odd cents. well we got our final bill in (for this month and last month) $1247. We do not have a clue where these people get off coming up with that figure. Just another credit battle I guess.

Was your contract up? That's the only thing I can figure for that kind of invoice, and even that seems kind of outrageous. I hope you get it figured out.

Funny thing, even though SprintSucks didn't want to give us ANY extras on our phone because of the fact that we were on the 'bad credit plan', when DH called to cancel, they offered him the 2nd line we'd been begging for for so long, then offered him something outrageous like 2000 anytime minutes/unlimited weekend & night minutes including the 2nd phone for the same price, then offered him 2 $100 gift certificates to somewhere cool (can't remember where), then offered him all of that combined plus 3 months free service. He just kept saying "no, we're already under contract with another company that we can't break". Every time he'd say no, they'd come back with the next offer.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll keep that in mind when dealing with them. Right now I want them to explain to me how I was roaming on VoiceStream's system while sitting in a parking lot in front of a Cingular store. LOL.

    Congrats!

Over 600 puts you in a better FICO class. I just recently achieved the same . Next stop is above 650!

    LMAO!!!!!!!!!

That;'s the funniest thing I've heard all year. lol!! thanks for the advice about cingular but I'm scared to use them since a few years ago I defaulted on a cellular one account due to job loss which cingular bought/took over. I might still be in their system.

How embarrasing would that be. Moreover I never paid it: " Sir... wait a min... what the fu^ Man you already owe us $2000.00 and we've been looking for you for 6 years.... *I start to run while being persued by two cingular one reps* Someone stop that guy!!!" (yells the rep) *enter verizon technician* "Can you hear me now? GooooOOOoood!"

Congrats on your success so far. I know how you feel I was there at one time, I had to pay 22.9% on a car. Worked my a** off for a year and refinanced at 8% APR.

Anyway, keep in mind this we are going in to the holiday season, and wireless companies are going to try to add as many subscribers as they possibly can to increase their EBITA, so there is hope.

Find out your best report, and ask the wireless carriers which report they pull. Trust me they will try to accomodate you.

Stranget thing happened to me. I had a pre approval sent to me by verizon. They pulled the info from Experian my worst report, 635. When I went to the store to purchase my phone, they pulled TU, my best report.

I asked the salesman which report they pull. He told me they can pull any of the three. Its random.

I would suggest finding the best carrier in your area, then go to the store and talk to a sales rep.
