judgements

If I happen to get a judgement against me pertaining to a credit card, is this something that stays on my credit report forever if I never pay it?

Nope. Seven years. But don't take yourself to court like that. It isn't fair. ;)

some states can renew the judgement for so many years, can't they? If it's renewed, won't it have a new date, therefore staying on your report for another 7 years? My state the SOL on judgements is 20 years. I thought someone on here had had a judgement on their report for that long. Just curious...

In Texas, that is correct. A judgement can be perpetually renewed, unless it is wiped out in bankruptcy.

What if it was wiped out in bk, but still listed on reports, and dumb person did not check their reports till 5 years later and found the judgements still listed but now it's too late to file a motion to vacate?

It can possibly be renewed forever, depending on the state, but, it can still only be reported for 7 years.
