Hello All, I just wanted to tell everyone on the boards a heartfelt "thank you" for all the information and experience that are contained within these threads. I have learned SO MUCH over the years of lurking on these boards. Since joining, I have worked my way to being two small medical collections (tackling those last with whychat's method) and two late payments on student loans that I'm waiting to drop off. After some inquiries drop off next August, my reports will be 100% clean! I will soon be able to apply for a mortgage knowing that I'm getting the best rate possible. I'm in a good place now with my credit, and it's not a constant every day worry...I don't cringe every time the phone rings, either. Word of advice to folks just starting out: Your credit wasn't ruined in one day, it won't be cleaned up in one day either. You have to be patient and follow the advice in these threads. There really isn't a quick-fix for credit problems, but you can do it yourself and without the "help" of a credit service. Believe me, you will come out for the better if you tackle the problems yourself. Thanks again to everyone, I have learned A LOT!!
