I recieved a call from my mortgage broker recently saying that my credit has dropped from a 750 to a 590 in just a few months. I pulled a myfico report and have noticed that there are 3 late pays. 2 of the late pays are errors one is not, but will try to remove from report. Any advise on how I should start this process. Any insight would be helpful. I have searched the board for past threads. I am looking for letter templates or should I use a firm such as Lexington or Jumun. Though these firms seem a bit pricey for what i can do in a few hours. Thanks for your insight... anujain
ok.. anything the credit repair firms can do you can do better if you do your homework but just realize that there isn't a quick fix.. it takes time.. Read the FAQs and keep searching for a variety of threads and ask tons of questions.. I can't answer the questions you have because I am not comfortable with that as of yet but I would say try to be a bit more specific and hopefully someone will be able to help you out.. WELCOME By the way.. I just started this adventure not too long ago
To be more specific the items are 3 30 day late pays. 1) One by mortgage company (which broker is working on) 2) First USA credit card at 10/01 -- 0 balance always paid in full 3) Hifi buys (retail credit card) posted on 2/02 -- I believe GE capital is the holder of this retail card - 12 months 0% financing -- paid in full as of 5/02 If it would help i could also post my credit report from myfico. thanks again for any insight anujain
From 750 to 590 for a few late pays? My goodness, that seems unreasonable. I'm not saying it didn't happen but that just doesn't sound right.
The 2 errors are the Mortgage late pay - also an automatc draft, and the hifi buys late pay. There are also 4 inquires from the last year....mainly 12 month zero offers i had signed up for to buy appliances for the new house, also utility credit checks from when i moved into the house appear as inquiries. I am trying to figure the best ways to remove the late pays. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again...
