Hello Everyone and Merry Christmas I was just wondering if anyone could advise me on something. I have been trying to clean up my credit since some hefty medical bills and loss of a job left me without enough funds to pay my bills, several years ago. I was looking at my credit monitoring today, and noticed I have only one bad account on my credit left. I am happy that my credit has finally improved a bit, but now that I need to buy a car soon, I want to get this removed so I can get a decent loan. I have heard of goodwill letters but have never tried sending one. Has anyone had success with sending one to Saks? Here is the info: CAP1/SAKS Opened: Aug 17, 2009 Status: Closed Last Reported: Feb 12, 2010 Years since Negative: 5.9 year(s) High balance: $112.00 30 days, 60 days and 90 days are on the report. Thanks so much for any advice you can give!
Sorry for the delayed reply. I haven't had success working with Saks, but I have with other retail companies. It can't hurt trying! Make sure you take a look at the sample letters we provide in the forum and let us know if you have any questions. Promise to respond faster next time. Merry Christmas!
