I applied for discover on April 9th. I was denied due to credit history to short. (it was enough for Amex) I called cs and was told I need to try again in 6 months. I then sent a PFB to Discover. No response. Sent another PFB. Yesterday I get this nice letter.

    Dear LKH,

we recently received your inquiry concerning your declined application for Discover Card.

In trying to respond to your inquiry, we find that your application is no longer on file.

    New Accounts Dep't.

Well, gee thanks a lot. A 2nd inquiry just to be denied again and have to go thru this again? I don't think so. I'll stick with those that want my business.

    They are "JACKING" rates...
    CUTTING CASH BACK payouts...
WAL*MART is now a "MEMBERSHIP CLUB"
SAMS and WAL*MART are both 0.25% FIXED...even if you spend
    $10,000/year @ WAL*MART/YEAR...you only get 0.25%!!!

ON YOUR $10,000 YOU GET $25.00 INSTEAD OF $100.00!!!

    On the UP SIDE...they are doing 0.00%, 1.90%, and 5.90% BT'S...

    Yes, LKH

It's their loss. I was also going to try again for Discover until a couple of people responded and brought me back to my senses.

I heard the apr is 16.9% now. That's higher than my cap. 1.

    NO THANKS!!!
