MBGA is the issuer of many dept store credit cards:

    JC Penny's
    Home Depot
    ExxonMobil
    Sam's Club
    Wal-Mart
    Montgomery Ward's
    Carpet One
    Gap
    Old Navy
    ..and on and on.

Does anyone have an address to send validation letters too or other contact info. Any experience w/ this co. is greatly appreciated.

I am wondering if they have different locations, addresses, PO boxes for each store card. I keep finding an address in NM. hmmm probably wrong.

Also, if you live in Lousiana, and have one of these accounts you may be eligible to share in the class act suit against them,

    Hi,

Backspace was VERY helpful and gave me this info.

    I live in Louisiana AND I had a Exxon/MBGA.

I never disputed it, but thanks to Backspace, I did.

Ok if you dispute it now the chaos that is out with MBGA now should render a deletion. A majority of the accounts correspondance is handled in India. That address is at the Old Merriam, KS GECapital, which use to handle Wards. They took over MBGA and GECC accts disney,Banana Republic,HQ, Home Depot(Merriam Business Ctr), and the other accts. They send the correspondance to India.

The Physical Exxon Credit Services office is located in Atlanta(Northridge location) but old researched correspondance is sent again to India. Either directly or via Ks or the Oh office. They won't verify because for one they probably won't get it in time or just wont research. I know this First Hand, Really First Hand. They are in the process of trying to pull the process, but you can capitalize on the screwups.

    I hope this helps.

I only have the old address from Exxon of:

    Exxon/MGBA
    PO Box 29116
    Shawnee Mission KS 66201

I had a J.C. Penney/Monogram account that I disputed with J.C Penney at an address in Aluquerque, NM, but I never received a response nor the green card. I am going to check it out with the post office. I'm sure it was delivered because it hasn't been returned to me.

I was so happy when I saw his post that I went online and started the dispute process.
(I was so excited, I didn't care how old it was) :)

I see his posts, but I can't tell any specific time.

    I hope everything works out.

    Quasar27 you rangggggggggggggggggggggggggggg,

Sorry took a page from the Adams family. Anyway yes Those are some of the many accounts they handle. Which account in particular are you targeting? How old is it? and what was the old address you had? The India Correspondance is still current. They are really pissed at that process. My friends went over to help transistion the accounts and facilitate. It's a Joke.

The funny thing is that before India it was done in Mexico City, Mexico, and prior to that at the Atlanta, GA(Roswell Rd). They also are sending back a majority of the phone calls that were sent there, becuase the complaints of lanquage barriers, lack of followup and "Correspondance" time frame is out of control. The Correspondance part is the last thing that will come back. Most of the accounts are handled out of the Merriam, KS location. The drop box is Sawnee Misson, Ks which is right next door. The other slim number is handled out of Ohio, i think kettering or something like that.

Hotsauce yes that NM location is a new location for one of the 3 "Home Depot" Credit Card Call Centers. They're servicing some of the JCPenny credit operations out of there and part Merriam. Is the JCPenny acct Old? Make em' validate not verify, they wont' the Records are so screwed up. They're good about just verifying those "Yellow" CRA forms that come in the mail to the research team, knowing they can't validate. IF you guessed it i use to work for the company for 13 years!!! Know the ends and outs.......

Yup - India - several calls to them and the language barrier was a pain in the ***.

From my experience, the India call center is used for Home Depot, Mens Wearhouse, and Exxon.

Check out their better business file. I have never seen anything so awful in my life. They have over 300 complaints in the last 12 months and over 600 in the last 36 months and the BBB only puts a fraction of those on their site so it is probably in the thousands. I do alot of going after companies on the forums and nothing has ever come close to being as bad as this company.

    Backspace:

This account is a paid collection for a Sam's Club card. Originally the account was owned by GE Capital. Then transferred, I suppose to MBGA, and they sold it to a CA, where it was again sold several times and bounced around. I settled with the last CA, and got a deletion letter. However, MBGA now has taken it upon themselves to report this account years after it was settled. The entry shows as chargeoff, account transferred or sold, $0 balance, (bad payment history).

I wish to have them delete the account, as I know they had to transfer the backup documents to the CA who bought the debt and could not verify.

    Looking for the verification address.

    Quasar27,

Did you dispute with the CRA? They're going to send it to the last known GECapital address. GECapital and MCBGA is the same. In order to finance Credit cards and operate GE had to become a Bank per se. The division acts with banking compliance thats all, but they are the same. How old is it first? when i get home i'll find that for you. This one should be easy because of the different hands in this one.

    opened 8/96
    DOLA 3/97
    reported 4/99

Haven't verified with CRA yet. Would like to do validation as I already have an investigation going with the CRA on multiple accounts. Don't want them to lable me as "frivolous."

so glad to find this post about the call center in India. I thought I was losing my mind.

I called in to request a good will adjustment on a tradeline noted as 30 days late from 1998. I got a rep, and could not understand his accent, even tho' I was really tryin'. So I hung up and called back in. And got the same accent, which I couldn't fathom how that happened.

I thought I was never going to get squared away, but he probably couldn't understand my Texas drawl either...he said he would take the request , but that he would have to send my account to be researched.

That was Thursday . I wrote a letter to JCPenney same day through PlanetFeedback, requesting one time goodwill adjustment.

Today, I received letter from Penney's, it advised that that they had sent all three CRA's directive to delete late pays. I also received phone call from JCPenney rep on my cell phone, saying he was responding to PFB, and wanting to know if there was anything else he could help me with, that my letter was on its way, and the CRA's would get updates.

    :) Whoo-Hoo !
one more derogatory removed ! and I don't have to worry about it popping back up !

    Maggie75,

That is great that you are getting what you want from them, but hang on to your letter for reference should this matter reappear on your reports.
