My credit recently took a hit because we moved and despite putting in a change of address with one of our credit cards, we didn't get a bill in teh mail for a couple months. I don't track that card online so the when they called to tell me i was 30 days past due i was surprised. It that something i can fight becuase they didn't send me a bill?

Also, when i pulled my credit report it shows that i have no mortgage payment. Instead my mortgage payment is listed under "other installments". for some reason it is catorgorized as an installment. We just moved so the balance is close to the original loan amount. Could this be making a big negative impact on my score since it looks like i have a huge balance on an installment account?

    Any input is much appreciated.

Even if you don't receive a bill because of a move or a mail mishap, you're still responsible for making payment. In the future, it would be a good idea to always set your accounts up online so this sort of thing doesn't happen.

Also, the mortgage should definitely be listed as such on your credit reports. It's hard to guess exactly how it's affecting your credit score, since so many other variables are at play, but you should definitely look into that and find out why it's being reported incorrectly.
