Had a credit report pulled for someone and the score and report is listed as "N/A" when there is over 30 years of history (good and bad). All the information is correct but it still comes up this way but no one knows why. Has anyone experienced this before and what is the problem ?

CREDIT REPORTS MUST BE 100% COMPLETE AND 100% ACCURATE

N/A IS NEITHER 100% COMPLETE NOR 100% ACCURATE!!!

    Thanks for the reply.

How do you go about getting a complete and accurate one then ?

If the N/A can be changed by you TELLING THEM WHAT TO PUT...DO IT...(you always RISK losing the account off your credit report)

I asked EXPERIAN to change N/A CREDIT LIMIT TO $15,500 I lost the account forever...IT HAS BEEN GONE FOR 3+ YEARS...NEVER TO RETURN

i was going to say that N/A is better than having the account deleted.

if the account is negative, dispute. if positive, leave as is.

This is for the actual score though.

    It shows like this

    Equifax/Beacon
    Score: N/A
Beacon not available, No Recently Reported information

    Transunion/Empirica
    Score: N/A
File not scored because subject does not have sufficent credit

    Equifax/Isaac
    Score: N/A
9002 - Profile does not contain any tradeline which does not satisfy the following; status within the last 6 months or a balance within the last 6 months does not contain disputed info.

You didn't make that CLEAR...YOU HAVE NO SCORE!!!!

That is different than N/A on an item on your report...

You should call and ASK WHY YOU HAVE NO SCORE...call all 3

If you only have 2 or 3 accounts you should still have a SCORE even if it is in the 400's

They say there is not enough info to compile a score, yet there is 30 years of history. Any suggestions?

WRITE ALL 3 AND HAVE THEM SEND WRITTEN PROOF THAT YOU HAVE NO SCORE...(EXPLAIN WHY)

Have you tried PG or some other F.A.C.O. system???

DO YOU HAVE A F.A.C.O. SCORE????

Haven't tried privacy guard, but will suggest they enroll this weekend.

Is it possible that this person has a split file, since there is such a long credit history?

    No, there has been credit.

They ran it thru Privacy Guard and both showed significant results (25 and 30 pages!) and provided FACO scores in the mid 500's, but alas no FICO.

Time to pull up each bureau exclusively, and get the FICO. You should be able to find this at their respective websites.
