Well, I sent off the estoppel letter and another copy of the first validation letter to NCO a couple of weeks ago. I received the green card last Saturday, with the date of delivery being 7/22. This is the first time I have ever used the estoppel. Yesterday, I received another demand for payment from NCO, dated 7/25/02. This is basically a copy of the last letter they sent to me. They have not validated, proved that they are licensed in the state of Louisiana, etc. etc. What is my next step? I want to pull my credit report to see if it is in dispute, but I have already proved this in my favor. What do I do next and how much time are they allotted on the estoppel before I can get this off my report?
I think you should check to see if it's listed as *disputed* on your credit report. They'll owe you $1,000.00 if it's not. You could then use their failure to mark the item in dispute to negotiate a deletion. Calmest_LA
