I called NCO about a duplicate account that was listed yesterday after I requested Equifax to verify. The gentleman I spoke with insists that they will not accept any type of mailin payment. Has anyone else been told this?
CA's often try to insist on QuickCollect, check by phone, or other rapid payment methods. DON'T EVER DO IT! It's just another part of their intimidation tactics. Why would they need payment immediately for an account that in all likelihood is already months or years past due? Only pay a CA after you have written agreement to delete their entry from your files. Never pay based on their promises. Send the payment CRRR and use a money order or cashiers check so that they don't have access to your checking acct. data. Greg
I don't see where they have a right not to accept mail in payments. Gee, do you really believe they won't cash that check! NOT!
Important addition to Gregs post: Never pay a CRA or anyone else for that matter with-out totally complete validation or proof ! ! ! !

Harpsong ===================== Great use it against them and get the account cleared. If you send the payment and U get it back you have proof they refused payment which voids the debt.
