Had a cc with First Premier Bank that was charged off in 1999. Now they are playing games with all three cra's. They recently deleted from Equifax ( I didn't dispute or anything ).
    Experian recently changed the account to "paid/current ; was a charge-off. $$$ charged off." Re-aged to 2009.
TU recently changed it to "account closed by consumer"
past due$$$, charged off as bad debt.

I am dealing with the oc ( not used to this ), and don't want to drop the ball on this one. I know from reading that First Premier can be a real pain in the *****!!

Any advice would greatly be appreciated!!!!!!!

How much money do you owe on the account? The amount in question may affect your course of action. If it is a small amount, you may have some bargaining power with the money in exchange for deletion, or at least you could pay off the account to stop the tradeline manipulation and then dispute it off or sue them for inaccurate credit reporting.

If the amount is large, you have even more bargaining power, but you also risk being sued for it if they feel it is worth their while.

If they truly reaged the account, and you have documention proving this (old credit reports, statements, etc) then that is a clear violation of the FCRA and you have legal grounds against them.

Another problem you have here is that this account was charged off relatively recently. Chances are good that First Premier still has all the records on the account if it were ever requested that they validate.

A little more detail could help me figure out what steps to take.

It's only $560.00. I do have old reports, etc., in order to get them on the re-aging. They did verify to all the cra's about 6 months ago, but it's anyone's guess if it was accurate verification. My thinking at this point is for me to request verification directly, and hope they either don't respond, or I can find holes in what they produce.
