I agree that, more often times that not, we allow collection agencies to do what they want with our accounts because the only way we've known how to deal w/them is to settle... and try to get an agreement to get our trade lines updated favorably.

But again, please answer: if this letter was so wrong (a request for validation)that Michael uses, why did my collection agency disappear? and with an apology, no less.
