Logan I have another Citi ThankYou card that I have had for a few years. I clicked the link and in the picture it shows that this card has chip for security! Is this actually the case?

As i do alot of traveling I am interested if something may be possible to do a trade in from my current card as the one I have now does NOT have the chip. Then again I wouldn't want to get a new card(or hard pull) as i am at this time unwilling to get any new accounts(AAOA is needing to get a little higher) I am back to gardening my cards for the next few months.

I may have to do some calling when i get home from out of country see if something like this is possible.

On a side note I have noticed that this Citi card I have has been a bit stingy with their CLI. I have never received and auto CLI and I called a month ago and requested. They did double my line of credit but its still 6-8K below the credit line of other accounts.

However one nice thing to note is when requesting a CLI they did a soft pull ( I hate places that hard pull for CLI) I don't know if this is the case with this card but would be nice to know.

I believe you can call Citi and they will send you a new card (same card number) with the security chip and you can destroy your old one. Won't require a hard pull or a soft pull, they just do it for you. If you try that, let us know what happens.
