I had a charge off with Discover, I paid them through Midland CA.......I have a paid in full letter from Midland but Discover is still posting it as a charge off.....how do I get Discover to remove the charge off? Next, from the days of college and dating a triflin guy who ran up a calling card from MCI, reported as a collection account, I know have a bill for $1095. Its from '97.........I talked to a mortagage broker and he was trying to get my credit clear, so he called to negotiate a settlement of $700. Did I admit to this debt by doing this, I haven't paid a dime. BUT on the report it says the account was opened in 11/99 and the last activity was 12/99. This was reported 12/99. This is not true.........it was 97. Do you think they will be able to validate this?
Did you also get a COllection account from Midland? on your Credit report. They just posted a collection account on my CR. Its an old account from Spiegel. Been at 3 other CA, they all made a inquiry on my report. Of course once they found out that im on the up and up. THey put the thing on my report. Are they easy to deal with?
Midland was easy to deal with, I called and spoke to someone and asked them to send a paid in full letter........... the lady's name on the letter is Gabriella Gonzales.........I paid it off in '98 so hopefully she's still there. Let me know if you need any more info.
so i take it they never reported the collection to the Credit Bureaus? I will try and make them take it off for payment.
Discover has it listed on my CR as charge off-account transferred to another lender........that would be Midland------ Midland has it listed as a pd collection account. I need Discover to update their files..............I'm going to try to get Discover to delete it.
