    hello c-netters...
i would like to hear from those who have filed small claims suits against ca's that operate in a different state than which you reside in. i've ran into a roadblock in my county. they say i can't sue this ca because they don't have a registered agent in my state. has anyone ran into this problem? if so, did you get around it? and how?

They don't have to have a registered agent in your state. They can be served through the secretary of state in the state in which they reside.

Several creditnetters have run into being told they can't file in small claims because it wasn't a proper venue...I don't think its what you are asking, but if you run a search you will see how some dealt with it.

    Good luck!
