I cannot believe what i have just noticed. Blame it on newbie inexperience, or just being ignorant. I recieved my very first TU report investigation report on 1-10-03. I disputed 8 items, 3 came back deleted, 2 became positive status and 3 verified.

On this report I had 11 positive tradelines, a lot of old stuff, closed in 1995 to 1998. After I got it back I tucked it away for safe keeping. Got my next report dated 3-18-03.

Of course, I was so concerned about the negative tradelines, I never bothered, or I must have forgot about the positives. Kept focusing on the negatives...dispute dispute dispute...

Well what caught my eye today was my TU report dated 5-27-03 has only 4 positive tradelines. I was shocked...until I looked back at my 3-18-03 report. It listed 4 positive tradelines also. I lost 7 positive tradelines on my TU report in a month and didn't even notice because I was so damned focused on my negatives... 4 months. I have lost 8 negatives in the past four months, I thought I was doing good. My score could/should be much much higher if I woulda just paid attention.

I might try to call all these creditors, and hope they still have information from 8 years ago and ask them to re-report, but I doubt it will do any good.

I think I might as well quit while I'm behind now. I have done more harm than good on my reports. Just when you think you know enough to start, you learn even more to want to quit.

Damn... Don't know which way to go now...Sorry for the mini rant.

When I lost positive tradelines on my Equifax report, all I had to do was fax an older copy of my report with the tradelines and they replaced them.

You might try to contact a supervisor at TU (we all know how bad the average CR is) and ask for the appropriate area to contact.

    Good luck.
