I applied for Nordstrom Visa this afternnon and I got message: Thankyou. Your application has been successfully submitted. You got response from the mail within 7 to 10 days. If you have any question, please call toll free number 1-877-934-3892. I called the customer service and I talked to one of customer service representative. I asked him to check the status of the application. He asked me whether I called from my home phone or not. I think that it verify the identify of me. He told me to hold on and pull the application out of the system. He found out that I have old account from Nordstrom( used to live in CA 15 yrs ago). and it is closed due to unused. He told me that he need supervisor to override to approve since I had old Nordstrom retail card. I told him that I don't want the retail card and I wanted Nordstrom Visa. He told me that I was approved and I should receive the card within 7 to 10 business days. I just want to prove that my credit is not bad since I was just denied by Chase. By the way, I don't kbnow whether it is a Platinum Visa or classic Visa. Ron.

They haven't established the account and I hope that it is not another TOY card just like Juniper. The customer service representative is very nice and polite. I just have to wait for the card from the mail to find out the limit. All I want to prove that my credit is not s**ks. Ron.

MAYBE THE CRA'S HAVE "BADDIES" THAT WE CAN'T SEE...OR LATE PAYMENTS THAT WE CAN'T SEE... I HAVE THE INCOME...I HAVE THE "PERFECT HISTORY"...I HAVE THE LOW BALANCE TO CREDIT LIMIT RATIO...WHAT DO THEY SEE ON THEIR REPORT THAT I CAN'T SEE ON MY REPORT??? WHEN ONE GETS A SOLICITATION FOR A CARD THAT SAYS "ALL-READY APPROVED" SIGN AND DATE AND THAN YOU GET DENIED!!! SOMETHING IS WRONG!!!

I hope you get the Platinum Card and a good credit line! when I got the card in Mar of this year they started me with a $3000 cr line and just the regular visa... but then just the other day I ask if I can be upgraded to Platinum card the rep saids yes... they are really nice people to deal with... please let me know what you got okay....oh by the way they did'nt pull another inq soft or hard on me... I have been applying for Chase card for 2 times (pre-approval and on-line application) and they denied me every time because account history too short, too many new accounts and revolving balance too high. I knew credit is not the game and it is tool to get you lan for the house, utility etc. Ron.

Re: Re: Nordstrom Visa Approved tod Hello Ron, Don't feel bad on Chase is just like I try to get one from First USA about 2 years ago and they said no the reason were excessive revolving balance... inqs..... oh well have'nt try them since but Congrats on getting the Nordstrom visa card if you told them you did'nt want the store card then the only other card that they offer now is the platinum card... They told me I was approved for something and I hope it is not store card because there is no Nordstrom store in San Antonio until 2004 or 2005. I let you know how the things turn out. Thanks, Ron.

I mean basically there are two options on the apply page one is the store card and the other is the platinum card so they should have something on file... well still I think that you will get the platinum card and not the store card... please let me know okay.... Re: Nordstrom Visa Ron, Congratulations on your new Nordstrom card. It seems like you apply for credit a lot. That could affect your average age of accounts when you get accepted.
Re: Nordstrom Visa Richguy, Within six months I applied for Disney Visa, Nordstrom Visa and Chase i- Card and the rest of my card that I applied during the years. I tried to keep under 5 inquiries within six months to all my credit reports. Experian:5 TransUnion:3 Equifax:3 is too not may inquiries compared to other on this board. Ron.
