I can't catch my breath I am so excited. I just pulled Equifax to see if they had made any changes. CCB was deleted as was Household...leaving me with two derog accounts remaining(one of which is Gulfstate and should come off any day hopefully for good this time). It bumped my score up to 633 (less than a month ago, it was 545!!!). I was so excited I thought it was time to maybe try yet again for the Target Guest Card (don't want the Visa...have WAY too many Visa and Mastercards already, but no retail cards). Sooooo...long story short I applied for Target and got my first EVER instant approval!!! Only for $200, but I'm so pumped! I hope to making the clean reports post within weeks, but I just had to thank PBM for having this board...PsychDoc (cuz you make me laugh and are a smart guy) Marie and Lizardking (for all of your knowledge and willingness to share that knowledge), KHM for listening to me rant and rave in IM and for passing along her experiences), Mindcrime (for a bunch of reasons) and even lbrown (because every place needs a real character around) and everyone else who contributes to these boards. If I've left anyone out, I apologize...I'm just so very excited. This is the closest I'll ever come (or want to come) to making a Grammy acceptance speech <very big grin> But thank you all from the bottom of my heart!!! Congrats to you! I started out at $200 also and in just a few months they bumped me up to $500 unexpectedly! So just hang in there!! (And i have a 1 year old ch 7 bk).

Lizardking, I will be getting rid of more than 50% of my current debt in the next ten days leaving me at about 23% of credit utilitized, so I'm hoping to be knocking on the door of the 700 club soon You guys are terrific! L

WAY TO GO! Be sure to use the target card soon so they will report, you can use it at the "online store" and I saw someone post about getting $200 increase by calling the customer service. I think they are authorized to give you $100 and if you ask to speak to a supervisor they can give you a extra $100 so you can get $200 4x a year I think. That's with out a hard inq. You could be up to $1k in a year. Congrats anyway.
Whyspers, Doesn't it feel GREAT?! I can't wait to be there! I am so happy for you and am also glad that you have posted your SUCCESSES! It gives us ALL the inspiration NOT TO GIVE UP and NOT TO GIVE IN!! Let us know when you hit that 700 mark!!! You'll have to add that and the dates you you got them to your signature! I also wanted to mention that YOU have been an inspiration to me! It really means a lot that "no matter where you are in your battle for the best credit", you all stop to help the new board members.
