I can't believe I'm saying this, but I've spent 1+ hours and 4 phone calls over a check from my billpay service that target visa lost on my wife's account for the grand sum of $5.

They WON'T talk to a 3rd party, so the bill payment service can't send them a copy of the CASHED CHECK in my wife's name.

I do not want to have my wife call both companies AGAIN and handle getting one fax and sending another--this has gone on long enough, and who knows if they'd get it right this time anyway?

I tried a pfb, but didn't find them in the database. Is there an executive office or something I could email or fax to get this resolved quickly?

    TIA, Dave

IMO from my experience with Target/Marshall Fields pfb did not work. They referred me to a credit 800 number. When I called and requested - mild, meek and nearly sickening (if you knew me) a goodwill adjustment the gentleman stated "we cannot do that. We only report true and accurate information." The two items that were originally only on EX are now on EQ, TU and EX. Thank you very much.

FYI - another creditnetter has had success via direct mail - no CRRR. Search by Target Goodwill to find.

    Thanks Melvina!

I'm growing increasingly tempted to just pay them the tiny balance, even though it would gall me to do so! It's hard to believe this problem is so tough for them to handle.
