How good are the scores from Privacy Guard? Are they close to the actual FICO scores? I am just curious. I pulled all three from them today and I just want to know how good they are.
they are within 5 points for me. but when you add negs in there i think it throws the numbers a little more off.
Not for me... I was over 740 true FICO a month ago, PG had me at 670 same day; no negs... now I got one neg show up from the dead (see: 'Lazarus') - in error, to boot! - and the PG's at 626, the "true" FICO is 595. But as George would say, it's all "RNG"
My actual FICO has been at times 20 points under the PG score and at times 30 points higher than the PG score. It's worthless, imo.
Same here as my scores between PG, Creditexpert and MyFICO.com are all over the map. The only constant that I see in my scores is that all my FAKO scores are lower than the scores I get from MyFICO.com Best regards, Mirage
Please pardon the newbie question but... Why are we so concerned with the true F.I.C.O. scores? I don't get it. The first scores I ever saw were from my lenders report and the only F.I.C.O score on there was the Experian score. So, who sees the true F.I.C.O scores? Or is Beacon and the other one (can't remember the name) considered true F.I.C.0.? I'm very interested in knowing. Thank you! NuB
Beacon, Empirica and FICO are all FICO scores, from the three different CRAs, and that's what the lender gets (except sometimes the lender sees more (oir less?) accounts than the consumer shows, so the FICO is not always the same). If it says one of those names, it uses the FICO scoring algorithm. If it doesn't, it doesn't.
There is a link from Sam tu pull Equifax report and Fico score for free. Just try it and compare with your PG score you got today.
EQ PG = 734, FICO = 770 EX PG = 680, FICO = 696 TU PG = 724, FICO = 753 Minimum 16 pt difference between fako and fico, and usually a whole lot more.
