hello guys, i have been on this forum for a while, and decided im gonna start working on my mess. here is my story... icve purchased 3 individual cr from the big 3; and based on it here is my list and their respective details amex status-charge off , Date of First Delinquency: 12/2007 date falling off according to exp jun 2014 asset for another amex status collection Date of First Delinquency: 06/2008 date falling off according to exp mar 2015 cap1 charged off Date of First Delinquency: 04/2008 date falling off according to exp feb 2015 LVNV FUNDING, LLC collection Date of First Delinquency: 11/2007 date falling off according to exp aug 2014 LVNV FUNDING, LLC collection Date of First Delinquency: 09/2007 date falling off according to exp jun 2014 MIDLAND FUNDING collection Date of First Delinquency: 08/2008 date falling off according to exp may 2015 MIDLAND FUNDING collection Date of First Delinquency: 07/2008 date falling off according to exp Apr 2015 i am around the drop off date for amex and couple lvnv ... should i dispute this with cra ?? also the accs were opened in nv where sol is 4 years, also the ones midland is reporting, the oc is not reporting it.... should i send them dv... thanks a lot
3 out of 7 are dropping within a couple of weeks to a couple of months. You can probably dispute these all as obsolete. Considering the DOFD's and that you're past the SOL, a DVL might just get the others (except C1) to just go away. I would start with the easiest first (the obsolete accounts), as well as cleaning up any old addresses listed on your reports.
mc, I know you know more about this than I; that's why I'd like to ask you a question: Isn't it somewhat risky to fuss with these items just before they die a natural death? Isn't it possible that looking into some of these (or doing so non expertly perhaps) could cause the clock to restart? Thanks in advance. I always appreciate your posts, thanks.
