    Question about C&D letter

I received a letter from a law firm attempting to collect on a debt I owe on one of my credit cards. I received the usual spiel about how I am allowed 30 days to request validation, and if I don't do so within the 30-day time frame, they will assume the debt is valid and commence collection procedures. I sent them a cease and desist letter and now I'm wondering...are they no longer allowed to contact me in any way, shape or form or commence collection procedures after the 30-day period or am I still required to send them validation? Thanks so much for your help.

    Question about C&D letter

You need to still send a validation letter. Once the 30 days is up, they assume it's valid and can continue collection. But you can still request validation.
    The Answer is 42!!
