Question about Discover Card?

I applied for a Discover Card about 2 weeks ago and was told online it would need further processing and to expect an answer in 2 weeks.

Lo and Behold today I check the mail and feel that "Hard" plastic feeling through the envelope....Yep you guessed it, my Discover card arrived and with a $10,000.00 limit!!!

Even when my credit was the greatest I never had a CL like that!

My question is....Does anyone have any good things or bad things about discover?

Can I use the Discover card like a Visa card?

Is it accepted almost anywhere like Visa?

Thanks!

Tac

BTW they pulled TU and my FAKO with them is 673

Question about Discover Card?

Discover has 2 shortcomings. Many places don't accept it due to their high merchant chargeback fee and I've heard some merchants complain about the length of time it takes to get paid vs Visa/MC.
Also, Discover uses 2 cycle billing so it is expensive to run a balance onthe card.

Question about Discover Card?

Discover Card is accepted almost everywhere where Visa/MC is accepted. By the way, Sams Club only accepted Discover Card and Discover Card is no accepted outside US.

Question about Discover Card?

WAL*MART and SAMS 0.25% MAX!!! You can NEVER get 1.00% at WAL*MART or SAMS!!!

I had a "RUN-IN" with SECURITY (involving a BT) so I have used it for 3 months in a row then STOPPED...I will use it again in about 2 or 3 months from now for a trip to the grocery store or a tank of gas then it goes back in the SOCK DRAWER.

I tried to trade it STRAIGHT ACROSS for the TITANIUM DISCOVERCARD...they said I had to APPLY!!!

Re: Question about Discover Card?

My advice,

DO NOT EVER DEAL WITH DISCOVER!!!!

They are the biggest scumbags of them all. Plus their card sucks and it is not accepted everywhere Visa/MC is. Every merchant would accept Visa/MC first, then maybe Discover.

I would avoid using them. Just keep them open for your score.
