Real TU Bumpage!

OK, I have real TU bumpage. Two weeks in a row! I am not sure exactly how TU figures what to bump, but they do include hards.

Here is what I did...I started running my TU score and WK score each day. If I did multiple in the same day all the multiple inquires would be deleted on Thursday. This has happened for multiple weeks and is very consistent. Once per day per service is all you can do.

To pull a TU each day for free you need to have a hard inquiry in the past few months. You can generate a fake hard inquiry by disputing something, TU enters in the hard section 'TU CONSUMER DISCLOSURE' and this works when I request my credit report from transunion.com and say I was denied credit in the past sixty days. WorthKNowing as people know, you can delete your account and make a new one as often as you want.

I requested each of these for six days between 9/19 and 9/25. That was 12 new A/R entries on my report. Come Thursday (9/26) I had lost 8 of my ten hard inquiries and that is all.

The following week (9/26 through 10/2) I only requested a total of four reports between WK and TU. (family issues kept me from doing more) Along with the four I ran there was also one new PROMO and one new A/R. With these six new inquires there were six removed as well. They were as follows: Three from hard section (1 real hard, 2 TU Disclosure) -- Two PROMOs left, but they rolled off as the one year passed. and the last one was an A/R from WorthKnowing in May 2001.

I only have one more hard to do on TU from 2/10/2002 and there will be no more inquiries.

I know this is long, but I tried to describe it as best I can I will try to answer questions but I pretty much said everything I know.

I forgot to mention, I have 113 inquires total on a Thursday morning. But that includes the current search. So somewhere around 112 or so worked for me.

does not work for me anymore. It just bumps off the soft inquiries.

    Jon,

You are so right. I was requesting multiple WK reports each day and the following Thursday all multiples were deleted. Oh well, I had to try. Well I stopped doing that and just started getting one TU and one WK and today... Bumpage finally happened-3 hards!!

For those who are only losing softs, just keep requesting your TU and WK and it will eventually happen. Last week only softs were deleted and this week 3 hards. Maybe it's just random.

Thank you Jon. I may have missed it at some point earlier, but this is the first time I've seen some kind of method for TU bumpage that looks like it can actually be duplicated.

We've been getting it, on both reports, but not regularly, and haven't been able to determine what has caused it.

We have never pulled a WK until today. (And still we can't get one of our WK reports because there are no installment loans or previous addresses on the TU report.)

We do pull TU pretty much daily.

If there is anyone else who has this narrowed down, do you know of another option besides WK for getting other inqs that would have the same effect?

Email is on if you have info you'd prefer to discuss discreetly.

    It does work. I have 83 softs & 2 hards, and I pull now 3 - 5 x's a day now from each(wk & tu). (I know, do I have a life.)

Sears pulled a report on me without my permission, and I am trying to get it removed quickly.

If WK is telling you they can not authenticate your info you are still getting a soft from them.

One from each daily will work. Multiple pulls in one day just get deleted and will not help to achieve bumpage any sooner. Just FYI.

    dempooches,

E-loan is another way to get a soft. I don't know how often you can pull though.

Are you sure about this, because this is how I had my hard from 8/25/02 to fall off. On the second, when I looked in the soft section, it showed that I had pulled my report 12 times in October. (yes on the 2nd) When I was pulling 1 a day, it was taking longer for the bumps to occur.

    Ami,

If you go to TU's site, there is an option for obtaining and viewing your report online. You can do it for free if you have been declined for credit within 60 days.

The online form asks for the creditor who declined you, but apparently if you have any hard inquiry at all, (regardless of when it originated) it really doesn't matter what creditor name you put in the blank (you could put "Joe Blow"), it will work and will give you a free report.

And apparently you can do it as often as you wish.

This might be how several folks are getting a TU report daily.

Unfortunately, TU still doesn't have a paid service like EQ's Credit Watch or EX's Credit Expert which would allow those who like to keep close tabs on their reports to do so. No doubt if TU did have one, a lot of folks would be happy to pay for it just as they do for the other two CRAs.

    Hope this helps.

How many total inquiries did it take to get this bumpage started?

Yes, this has been my experience. Once I just started pulling one from each, I received bumpage.
Jon, the original poster to this thread, stated the same experience as well.

Something else I just found out to be aware of.

WK couldn't verify identity....resulted in a 1 week BLOCK on the regular TU site!!

Anecdotal only, don't know if others have been affected this way, but it's FWIW just in case.

Yep. When I was doing more than one a day all the same day duplicates would be removed on the next Thursday. Because of this I decided to stop wasting my time and only do once each per day. It can be accomplished with only using TU (or only WK) it just takes twice as long to build up enough initial requests for bumpage to start.

I'm sorry, I posted that incorrectly.

I have had bumpage that I noticed since January, but I didn't know what it was or how it happened.

I just knew that I was losing my hard inquiries every 60-90 days. (back then)

When I finally realized how it worked, that's when I started adding Worthknowing into the mix to make it happen faster, but no, I was getting bumpage before pulling WK daily.

When I asked are you sure about it not mattering how many times I pullled per day, it was because everytime I pull, I see the soft. I have noticed that I am losing softs coming from the bottom also.

But, yes, from what I have seen over the last month, pulling more than once a day has made bumpage occur faster. Possibly a coincidence?

My boyfriend on the other hand who doesn't pull consistently STILL has hard inquiries from 2000 that will be coming off this year anyway.

Anyone know approximately how long it takes to start the bumpage? Right now I count a total of 19 Regular Inquiries (includes TU Consumer Relations only 3 are really hard inquiries), 4 PRM, 54 Account Review. That is a total of 77 total inquiries. When did your bumps start?
