I need some information if possible about this company. About 4 months ago I terminated my merchant account, but at the time the account holder Retriever payment Systems told me that I had to pay a $250. Termination fee. I never agreed to this in my contract and told them of this. I told them that I wanted to see a signed contract so they send some generic BS which I knew they would. I didn't pay and they sent it to Recovery Concepts out of Texas, who say that I now owe $325. This is total BS. Additionally Retriever was robbing my checking account monthly of $25.00 that never appeared on my merchant statements, when questioned they said "Oh, that's the other Retriever" and when questioned further they said it was them but it wasn't??? This further pissed me off, and I have no desire to pay them, nor do I think I should.

I plan on sending a Validation, but would like to know if anyone has heard of these idiots. Do they ever sue? They only have my old business address that I know of, and no phone number, so I don't get anything at home, and as of December that address will no longer be in service.

I searched google, but found no site except a corresponding address. Was wondering if anyone had experience with them, or Retriever Payment systems.

First, check with the office that registers and licenses businesses in the State of Texas. If this company has been taking money out of your account without your knowledge or consent, Notify the the bank immediately.

Inform that Bank that you want the names of any and all employees that authoritized these withdraws and that you're filing a criminal complaint for theft. (That is IF YOU DID NOT AUTHORIZE) the withdraws. Contact the Texas State AG office as well as your State's AG office and file a formal collections complaint. Go to the FTC web site and file a complaint with them. If what you say is correct then there appears to several violation(s) of the FDCPA.

Don't hold me to this, but I believe the company advertised it's self as a business that specialized in the collections of back child support and was recently sued for fraud when it was discovered that it was in fact nothing more than Collection Agency that chewed up most of the recovered child support with fees of their own. You may also want to ask the Texas AG office about this company.
